The Brick Industry Association
The Brick Industry Association (BIA) is the recognized national authority on designing and building with clay brick. BIA offers a broad range of technical and research services to architects, builders, designers, and local governments through its Technical Notes on Brick Construction, Brick in Architecture, award competitions, representation in model building code forums and national standards committees, and extensive design and construction guides.
Baltimore/Washington Distributor Council
As part of the national Brick Industry Association, the Baltimore/Washington Brick Distributor Council is composed of six locally-based companies who work to support the brick industry as a whole by providing complimentary education to area architects, builders, and planners on the benefits of brick and guidance about its proper installation. They also partner with local masonry groups and building associations to further promote the use of clay brick.
