The BIA Midwest/Northeast Region (MNR) includes the District of Columbia and the following 17 states: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia. The Region’s programs are funded by the brick manufacturers who sell clay brick in those states and DC.
MNR programs focus on educating architects and home builders about the value that clay brick brings to their projects and encouraging them to use both face brick and clay brick pavers. An equally important target audience is Municipal and County Planners and Officials who are concerned about building strong, viable and sustainable communities; MNR staff assist them in developing policies and ordinances that include clay brick to help them reach those goals. MNR engineers are also available to provide technical support to all these groups.
In addition to programs that reach across the entire Region, MNR has 11 Brick Distributor Councils that provide local programming to encourage the use of clay brick. Members of these Councils are local businesses who work together to raise money for marketing programs to help promote brick within their market which may be a city, an MSA, a state or even multiple states.
BIA Southeast Region
BIA Southeast Region
BIA Southeast is a trade organization representing 17 brick manufacturers in the southeast region of the United States.
Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., with a second office in Conyers, Ga., BIA Southeast serves a nine-state region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Southeastern Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Our mission is to promote brick as the preferred building material for home and commercial construction. Toward that end, we offer a wide array of educational and technical services for homebuyers, builders, masons and architects, as well as a comprehensive marketing program to advance the benefits of building with brick. We offer seminars to professional and technical groups in the building industry, as well as to student and consumer groups on topics ranging from do-it-yourself brick projects to engineering design. We also work with architects, builders and distributors through specification and review, consultation and on-site inspections. We are here to help ensure that all phases of brick construction - from initial planning though specification and construction - run smoothly and correctly.
