One night - three contestants - you select the winner. The Brick Industry Association hosts the first Brick Idol Competition on March 31, 2007.

Modeled on one of America's premiere reality TV shows, the Brick Idol Competition presents three multi-talented professionals who sing the songs you select that evening and you vote for the winner. Who will be the first Brick Idol? Join us at the Annual Banquet and you will decide.

Emcee John Charles will entertain while he hosts the evening's performances and announces your votes. Scheduled performers are:

  • Kathleen Kane - veteran of stages in Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, and Orlando and many television and radio commercial spots,
  • Michelle Amato - active in the recording studio for Royal Caribbean, Costa and Carnival Cruise Lines, Warner Brothers and Shawnee Press Publishers, Walt Disney World, and numerous jingle production companies throughout the country, and
  • David Worker - musical theater veteran including Phantom of the Opera and University of Texas alumna.

Since the audience is in the Banquet hall and not at home next to the telephone, how are they voting? Each table will have several wireless devices that will send the votes to a central location; all votes will be digitally recorded and the results presented on screens at the front of the room.
