Project Description: The Willow Creek Elementary School is a new K-4 Elementary School for the Fleetwood Area School District. The new 107,000 square foot facility was designed to accommodate 800 students.

Green Building or Sustainable Design Principles used in this Project: The building’s structural system is high performance pre-cast concrete wall panels. These panels are equipped with better insulation capabilities than traditional construction and they cause the building to cool down and heat up slower due to their construction. The windows were comprised of high efficiency glazing are more energy efficient as they reflecting the heat away from the windows in the summer and absorb heat at the windows in the winter. The building also has a light colored roof and energy saving building controls and monitoring equipment.
